We were to edit two self portrait of ourselves to give us a "past" and a "future" look. These are the results:
This is the first one i worked on which is the "future" look. I didn't really use any brushes on this one. I gave myself a carbon fiber skin. I tried to make the layer blend in and make it as real looking as possible. The eyes were made from adding an outer glow effect to four little circles. For this picture I tried giving it kind of a neon theme to it. The only brushes I used in this picture are the neon lights on my shirt which were simple line brushes, I just added and outer and inner glow to give it the neon light look to it. My shirt is a simple metal texture while my sweater is a wire texture. The background is a simple picture i got off the internet (Yay! for google pictures)
The second picture I worked on was the "past" portrait. For this picture i used the liquify tool to make my face look a bit...uglier. I made myself pretty ugly if I can say so myself. After that all i did was add the gray hair with a fur brush and used to liquify tool on it to try to give it a wavy look to it. For this picture my shirt is made of a crocodile skin and my sweater of a snake skin (Don't get me wrong I love animals! :) This is just to make me look from the past). The parrot is my loyal companion in this picture. I kinda get the feeling I accomplished a "deserted island" theme for this picture. Also, the sky was made from simple coloring with a brush and then smudging it to make it look windy.
Then we worked on a Multiple Self Narrative which is a picture trying to tell a story. These are the results:
I made two pictures this time becuase I wasn't sure if I was going to be satisfied with just one. I really liked the process of making these because it is really fun to try to get all the pictures align so it looks like there are actually three people in one picture. I had alot of fun while working on this project.
After we were done with that we were told to make a comic book page using the pictures we made for this unit as well as any other picture from the past unit. This is what i made:
As you can see I'm not too creative with words :) but i tried my best. I had fun trying to come up with a style for my comic page. Coming up with the few dialogue was also fun, I think I managed to give it a theme where my three clones are the main characters and are about to have a life or death duel (sort of). I used my past and future self portrait as "guest" characters. The background for the page is a "sky" i did for another picture I worked on, which was actually a line art coloring.
